Plan Change 8 - Natural Hazards

These changes aim to improve how we manage natural hazard risks throughout the district through the Rotorua District Plan, including in the Lakes A Zone, from flooding, active fault rupture, land stability (slope stability, liquefaction and soft soils), geothermal hazards and wildfire.

    These changes could affect how land is developed or built on in different parts of the district.

    Address search and active faults (with partial flood mapping)

    This viewer only contains mapping of active faults and recent flood mapping that is not yet available on Geyserview. You can view a district wide map with other flood and hazard mapping on Geyserview, Council's main map system.
